This is Cascade, my concept of a luxury beachside apartment complex and how it could be represented in the form of a cinematic. All work is rendered in realtime using one RTX graphics card.
This concept I call Seabreeze, which is another example of form following fiction. I wanted to take the opportunity to go beyond confining a concept to a 3D surrounding, and use real photography for project integration. Often we are embedding our work into photos to show the true context of a project, but when marketing we need to go beyond a typical point and shoot approach, and look instead for camera angles that engage and entice.
For over a year our lives have been turned upside down and life changed beyond measure. We have had to adapt to new ways of working, managing in remote ways, employing next gen technology to help rapid prototype ideas, and getting things done despite the isolation, and at times, hardship. My concept design is called Halcyon.
I find the machinations of creativity fascinating. Taking reference from what we know and holding tight to that tenuous link as we seek the new. How far can we push ourselves into the unknown?
This idea for ‘Aloft’ began a couple of years ago. Looking for an idea for a personal project, I sought inspiration by drawing on some of my early work experience.
Being the Cleint. This idea for ‘Pedestal’ had been playing on my mind for a long time. I was intrigued by the idea of a house that maximises yard space by elevating the structure above. The living spaces would enjoy a better outlook, and the kids could enjoy more space to play.
