I won’t lie, I love it when a client get’s how much heart goes into my work and appreciates not just the final image but the process too.
Architects invest so much dedication in each and every design, so it’s a privilege to be a part of that process.
Recently, I had the chance to work with Jane Johnson Architects and see how the challenges of privacy and overshadowing could be resolved on a house project in Bondi.
When working on the Bondi house, it was important that the visualisations reflected the context of the design. 3D images of the project allowed Jane to demonstrate to clients how the design overcame the complexities of an unusually shaped site.
Integral to the design was an internal/external pond. It was an opportunity to explore integrating water as a design feature into the image with a fluid shader.
When asked about the 3D process and its role in the design process, Jane says:
“I originally worked with Matt when I was at Allen, Jack + Cottier Architects and now as a sole practitioner see him as an important part of my sub-consultant team. I continue to use Matt not just for his finished product which is done to a high standard, but because of the passion and positivity with which he approaches every project.”
“Matt has also been very flexible with programming his work to suit our needs, which is so critical in an industry which is deadline driven.”
“I continue to use Matt not just for his finished product which is done to a high standard, but because of the passion and positivity with which he approaches every project.”
“It is refreshing to work with someone who clearly loves what he does, and is eager to achieve the best possible outcome.”
